60/30-Classic Steel Library Shelving at Stockholm Cultural House

Project:  Stockholm Cultural House

Location:  Stockholm, Sweden

BCI has supplied classic steel shelving, in both straight lines and round shapes, combined with state-of-the-art LED overhead lighting in cooperation with the Swedish light manufacturer Ateljé Lyktan, to the refurbished branch of the Stockholm public library system called “Kulturhuset”.

Located in the heart of Stockholm, at the city’s main commuter hub, a new floor called “Plattan” has been created with a new entrance and large windows giving lots of light to the library, plus an appetizing view from the outside.

A library with focus on fiction as well as books about fashion, art and architecture occupies the floor together with a gallery, a cafeteria and a book shop.
